Optical Coherence tomography (OCT) is the latest available technology used to monitor the health of the retina. You can access the newest generation of OCT at Philip Jones, to provide a more thorough examination, with better diagnosis and monitoring.

 An OCT scan is really quick (3 seconds per eye) and completely comfortable, so you can be in and out in just a few minutes, with all of the reports immediately ready for your optometrist to review to check the health of your retina.

We now have the newest generation of OCT, the Topcon Triton DRI Swept Source. This allows us to scan faster, wider and deeper than previously, giving sharper images which enables better diagnosis and monitoring.

OCT is included in private and enhanced NHS eye exminations.
